SONGLINE VARIATIONS, the Classic-Fusion-Quartet led by Cape Town composer, arranger and pianist Adolf Thelen, takes the audience on to a thrilling musical journey of new jazz-arrangements based on compositions by JS Bach, Joaquin Rodrigo and GF Händel among others..

The famous "Badinerie" from the B-minor suite is to be heard, as well as the "Toccata and Fugue in d-minor" and the "Air on the G-string". Their rendition of Joaquim Rodrigo‘s „Concierto de Aranjuez“ is a wonderful contrasting dialog between sax and piano.
